Oh, Finnick, Finnick, Finnick…
Truth be told, The Hunger Games fandom is starting to sicken me. I have been in this fandom since October 2008 when The Hunger Games came out and just recently I have been highly disappointed with so many people.
First off, the Rue situation. Yes! She is black! Get the hell over it. The movie has been out almost for four months and people are still complaining that Rue is black. Look she was black or technically “dark skinned” in the book. So, thinking she was white is probably the worst thing to do.
Second off, the whole Finnick situation. There has been a riot on my Facebook dashboard because supposedly Sam Clafin is now the official Finnick. Look, I don’t know if that is honestly true, so I’m not going to continue with anything about him. But since I cannot ignore the damn hateful comments leading toward him, I have to. I have never seen any movies Sam has been in nor I have I heard of him until a few weeks ago. I think he’ll do fine as Finnick. He kind of looks like him in my perspective. But going out and calling him “hideous” or “fucking fugly” infuriates me. Don’t automatically judge him and the movie, which by the way has no trailer out, yet, and labeling it the worst movie in mankind’s history. Seriously, grow up! And for the people, who think Finnick makes The Hunger Games, no he doesn’t. Well, actually, he doesn’t do it alone. Every character, even the deceased ones, make the trilogy incredible. Stop thinking Finnick is everything like believing there may actually be an Edward out there. One character, even the main one, does not make the series.
